Global Brand Director, Spotify
Alexandra Tanguay joined Spotify as the Global Brand Director in February 2014. In her 4 years at Spotify, Alex has overseen the growth of the Brand Organization from 1 to over 30 and now leads 3 functions inclusive of Brand Direction, Brand Strategy + Experiential Marketing. Alex played an instrumental role in evolving Spotify's once internal "creative studio" to a premiere creative group leading global campaigns for Brand Spotify + its key business initiatives, as well as individual artist/album/single/show launches for both Artist Marketing + Spotify Original Content.
Her well-known work at Spotify includes the revamp of Spotify's Visual Identity System, Spotify's Global end of year "Thanks 2017" campaign, The "I'm with the Banned" Social Impact efforts + platform and Artist Marketing efforts with the likes of Justin Bieber, 2 Chains, Gucci Mane, The Weeknd, Drake, Phoenix, Katy Perry (and many many more). With creativity + strategy at the heart of her work, Alex has set out to inspire a creative way of thinking and working across Spotify's organization, and has helped to widen the lens on culture that Spotify speaks through.
Alex's career has been diverse having worked on many brands from both the agency + client side as well as short stints across both publishing and fashion.
Previously, Alexandra has worked on brands like Nike, Jordan Brand, Mondelez International, JetBlue, Beats by Dr. Dre, Moet/Hennessy, Sprite, Converse and The NBA helping them connect better to their consumers through emotionally + culturally relevant brand narratives and experiences.
